The Big Move! - and a much needed blog update...

Dear Tiny Project readers,

It's been a while, and for that a apologize. As it turns out, getting a house finished and preparing to move it, all your possessions, as well as your girlfriend and dog half way across the country is quite a lot of work.

I only have time for this update because we are currently stuck in Amarillo, Texas, due to a large winter storm that has made almost all of I40 very dangerous to drive--all the way from Oklahoma to Arizona is under some amount of snow or ice. So today is a rest from travel, but we hope better conditions tomorrow will allow us to continue our long trip out to California.

With advise from some locals, we are planning to change our route, headed even farther South once we get to Albuquerque. We'll head down to I10, near the Mexico border, and continue west from there, avoiding higher elevation snow and ice in New Mexico and Arizona.

Here are some pictures of our travels, including our start in Fairfield, IA, and various RV parks and roadside stops along the way. Stay tuned for more to come...

  1. I think these houses, and the idea of living this way is grand! I'm a single, mom who will soon bee in my own.I'd live to find a safe, private, lovely spot to make permanent. I don't have the first clue as to how much $, how to begin, pretty much how to do go about it at all. Any pointers as to step #1? Thanks, and much good luck to you all! ๐Ÿ™‚
